Improving The Heel On Your Running Shoes
Like any runner will tell you, most running shoes quickly and evenly. This means that although you are a high tech EVA midsole may have a lot of bounce left in it, traction on the soles may have worn out – or vice versa. One of the most common place for running shoes to wear down on the inside of the shoe ‘s ankle. Fabrics that wear away the plastic heel counter is open. (This is part of the shoe that covers the Achilles tendon).
There are several ways to patch this problem, each requiring different levels of expertise and maintenance. Choose the method according to the amount of time you spend tweaking. Perhaps the easiest solution is just to stick a piece of Duct Tape tear. As you probably know from watching MacGyver, Duct Tape can solve anything, and the holes in your shoes is no exception! Ribbon hardy, but quite soft on the feet, and can be replaced easily if you use the tape off.

These K-Swiss Ariake Running Shoes are stylish, supportive free-Running shoes for moving over, under and through the streets. The K-Swiss Ariake Running Shoes feature great traction with a combination of high-grip rubber in the forefoot and durable Aosta rubber outsole in the heel, stability by an external heel counter and variable width lacing, cushioning with a dual density CMEVA midsole compound, and durability with an extra-padded, seamless forefoot and rubber toe bumper. You can buy these sporty K-Swiss shoes for a price of $100.
The more labor-intensive approach is to use a piece of cloth. Select the type of fabric is important. Most people recommend a slick fabric knitted fabric tends to tear when the heel moves up and down. You want fabrics that will move with the movement of the heel. Nylon can be a good choice, but because you will be gluing the fabric in place, you will need to ensure that the glue doesn ‘t soak through cloth nylon and make hard. Others to try include denim and leather or suede. (Consider finding a jacket old at a thrift store and use decorative leather patches on the elbows to reline the back of your shoe. More is durable while being gentle on your feet.)
Whatever material you finally use, you first need to glue the material in place. Remove sol before you apply the glue. You’ll want to use glue that is strong but flexible. Super glue will remain, but perhaps a little hard when it dries. Your best bet is to find a special glue designed to make shoes.
After the patch is attached in place, you must (if possible) cloth sewed to the back of the shoe. Stitching and gluing the patch will make it last longer. After you finish, you can change the insert. You are good running shoes to go for a few weeks.
