How to Clean Athletic Shoes

Athletic shoes or tennis shoes can be very smelly, if you’re not careful, and you do not need to be afraid to give your bathroom smells shoes every once in a while. But before you jump the gun and threw dirty sneakers in the washing machine, follow the simple instructions. You will find that washing tennis shoes in this way will clean sneakers without damaging the shoe (or a washing machine).

Start by removing shoes and shoe string “insert. Every part of the shoe (the shoe ‘s main body, strap shoes and inserts) will need to be cleaned separately and in different ways. Go ahead and throw a rope into the washing machine. This is the only part of the athletic shoe that can be cleaned by machine and not by hand. (Some people would throw an old shoe or Kets into the washing machine with a load of towels, but this is not recommended for new or expensive athletic shoes.) You might want to soak a rope in white bleach to return them to the original native state.

To rid the body of your athletic shoes need water, soap, buckets and brushes. Fill the bucket with warm, soapy water. You’ll want to use a neutral cleaner such as washing dishes base detergent or Simple Green. Do not hesitate to soak your shoes in the water for a few seconds to loosen any tough stains. You do not need to be afraid to get wet shoes. Take a brush and start working. You should wash your athletic shoes inside and outside. Be careful not to rub too hard or you may damage the fabric in the uppers. You must use a soft brush and moderate style.
Once you’ve finished scrubbing shoes, rinse them thoroughly and leave them to air dry. This helps to wet goods tennis shoes with paper to draw the moisture out and speed up the drying process. Paper stuck in your athletic shoes while they dry will also help them to maintain proper form. Never stick athletic shoes in the dryer. The heat can cause the shoe to change shape!

The soles of athletic shoes you should not be washed with water. Simply insert the air out. If they smell, apply baking soda. This will help to eliminate odor and moisture trapped in the paste.

After all three parts of the shoe is completely dry, you can reassemble your athletic shoes. They should be just as good (and clean) like new!
